As a veteran who served alongside Americans from every walk of life, I've seen firsthand how working families are struggling to pay their bills. When 98% of Americans are struggling with soaring costs for groceries, housing, childcare, and basic necessities, that's not just an economic issue—it's a national security issue. A strong America starts with families who aren't drowning in bills.
This isn't a government spending problem, it's a corporate greed problem!
In the military, we all contribute to the mission regardless of rank or pay. Yet back home, the tax system has been rigged against the middle class. I'll fight to reform our tax code so that teachers, nurses, factory workers, and small business owners keep more of what they earn. Just as we ensure every soldier has the equipment they need, every working American deserves a tax system that rewards hard work, not just wealth.
Having served alongside brave men and women who would give everything for their country, I believe we owe every American access to quality healthcare. We can achieve universal coverage by streamlining government bureaucracy, we do that by consolidating redundant agencies, just like we streamline military command structures. Next, we will reinvesting those savings into healthcare, elder care, and making life more affordable. No veteran should see their fellow citizens go bankrupt from medical bills.
I believe in clear standards, accountability, and justice. I'll work to establish a Uniform Code for Law Enforcement (UCLE) that ensures every officer upholds the highest standards of conduct-just as we expect from every service member. We must rebuild trust between communities and those sworn to protect them, with transparency and accountability at the core.
I've seen how America's standing in the world affects everything from our security to our prosperity. I'll work to reopen trade on terms that benefit American workers and farmers, not just corporations. Just as we maintained our equipment in the military, we need to modernize our economy so American businesses can compete and win in the global marketplace—creating good-paying jobs here at home.
